Tuesday

I think I forgot to post a before and after of our former "panic room". Now it's a "I wish I was a 4 year old" room. And I also wish we could bring it when we move.

Thursday

We had a nice Christmas. With a slight lack of sleep for the parents and lack of food for the young ones who were only allowed to drink Gatorade doctors orders. Yesterday was the night of the birthday party for the one year old. During the night we had the most snow I've ever seen. I think we had about 30cm of new snow in our garden this morning. I finally managed to paint the playroom too during the holidays. It was a birthday party success.

Monday

My weekend find was this old flower table. I have a big weakness for childrens' books (trying to get the children to speak Swedish) and I needed a way to make them more accessible. I can't use it as a book stand just yet though since my almost one year old tear up all books that are not board books. But I managed to take a couple of pics while she was busy making a mess in some other part of the house.
Regarding my weekend plans they had to be put on ice since I got invited to a summer house. I have at least bought the paint.

Saturday

This old inherited IKEA high chair was very dull before but now has a new color.

Monday

I'm thinking of putting another cupboard like this one on the other side. Talk about wasted space before. This space has never been used for anything really. The old storage room downstairs also called the panic room was very narrow and deep and had only a tiny door you had to squeeze through. If I put another unit on the other side the same stuff is now accessible through 12 doors. And when the former storage room has been emptied I have big plans for it, or small plans.

Saturday

I'm not quiet ready with our loft but at least I don't sleep on that air mattress on the living room floor anymore. I forgot to take a before picture with that awful brown paint the 100 year old braces that hold the roof was painted with before. I used 3 different shades of white. I wanted the braces to stand out which was maybe stupid because it doesn't show in the dark anyway. For the chimney I mixed the leftovers from the ceiling and braces and added some water.

Wednesday

There are days when it feels small to live 3 persons on less than 50sq. meters. Then I usually have a fit and throw away stuff that's been lying around too long. One of those days was last weekend. I gave away a bunch of old clothes and stuff to the Red Cross. We also went to IKEA and I put up this medicine cabinet from Europris and a felted organizer from Village for keys, mobile phones and other stuff on the side of the fridge between the hallway and the kitchen.
