Monday
It's all very strange. Everything in Reykjavík is like every other day. Clear skies, sun is shining, airports are open for flights (just not those going to northern Europe). I went for a drive this weekend and after just half an hour or so you see the pile of smoke that makes taking off or landing in Europe impossible. It's so close by and still the chaos in Europe is so far off. The wind is not going to turn over here in the near future. I don't even mind closing the windows when I go to work. By the way these pictures are taken on the top of the glacier that is now melting in the eruption.
